I Decided to change My Bridge Pickup in my OLD OLD Jackson..The Chap I took it to informed me that it was Stamped Grover Jackson 80..not J80 as Informed him it was..he thinks it could be prototype of the J80 as he has never seen one marked that way, He Thinks It may have been made Before Jackson Sold Charvel in 85/86..I don't Know a lot about this...
Anyone come across this?
Would it be worth anything?

You're right, it could be a prototype. If I were you, I'd hang on to it. I've seen this kind of thing before where in other industries, prototypes and production models have variations of the same markings, be it s/n or whatever. problem is.. sometimes prototypes aren't as good as the production models because sometimes they aren't as refined......but on the other hand, sometimes the prototypes are TOO GOOD and aren't cost-effective for production. Either way, I'd hang on to it. :)
