San bernardino festival

Postby Fakeblue » Sun Jun 18, 2006 6:32 am

Guys,

I have a problem. I'm just coming back from my parent's house and I found an old tape with excerpts from the 1983 San Bernardino festival starring Triumph, Scorpions, Van Halen, and OZZY with JAKE !!!!

Jake was so young you hardly recognize him. His hair are a lot shorter, hardly falling on his shoulders. This tape is crappy and some songs got cut off. But there is Crazy Train, Mr Crowley, and maybe one more...

I would like to share that with you guys....how can I transfer this old VHS tape to a .wmv file ? Any specialists around ?

i think it's available at most filesharing networks so you don't really have to rip it ... but the thought was nice :)

The Classic mega Concert Music Fest series Event(s) "US Festival 1983" was/and is a very famous & Historical Outdoors 3 or 4 Days Concert Event that Featured some mighty "awesome/great" Music Aritists/Bands as so mentioned above like: Triumph, the Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne band that included the incrediable lineup of Ozzy Osbourne-Vocals, Jake E. Lee-Guitars, Bob Daisley-Bass, Tommy Aldridge-Drums and Don Airey-Keyboards for this very heavy Hard Rock/Metal treasure Music Fest and a series of other great music talents that kicked it totally live at this special US Festival 1983 that I wish would be unlease in it's entirety Officially on DVD & audio format. That would be very extraodinary indeed. I realize that TRIUMPH released some of their special live footage from that very happenin' Day in Music History/US Festival 1983 yet still I would like to see all the great Music Artists/Bands that were so Featured and are mentioned in this post - live performances captured & released in it's fullness that Thundered Rock down the House at this special US Festival 1983 outdoors Concert Events! Peace and much respects.

Quiet Riot was there too. With Rudy Sarzo on bass. Really really good. The crowd went as far as you could see....I think they talked about 300 000 people...

Yes!...... Us as in "we". :) I know a lot of younger guys, especially from Europe, mistakingly think it was called the U.S. Festival. But no, it was the Us Festival. It was put together by Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computers. He wanted to put on a music festival for "Us" (the tech generation). If I remember correctly, there were 2 Us Festivals...one in '83 and one in '84...or it could have been '82 and '83...I'm not sure. Must be all those missing brain cells they warned me about! LOL!

Yep, Steve Wozniak...creator of the Apple II my dad bought me in '81. It's a shame my knowledge of BASIC language is obsolete.

Thanks Gutterflower! I coudn't remember who had played on Saturday. :D

Me, 3 buddies and our girl friends took his family's motorhome for the whole 3 days. We spent all of Saturday in the RV getting waaay high! Sunday was the only day we saw (only day worth seeing I thought at the time). I remember we woke up on Monday at like 2:00pm still semi-drunk, and it was scorching hot outside! We figured since most of the Monday bands sucked anyway, we'd drive back to San Diego that day. I only wish I'd kept my stub. Sometimes when you're young you do dumb things like put your stubs in your gf's scrapbook thinking you're gonna be together forever....oh well...that's life :)
