Hey Guys,
I read an article online about the breakup of badlands and just wanted to read it again. About how like Ray and Jake almost argued on stage over particular articles or something.
That's a touchy interview there on the legendary BADLANDS & the two founders/Jake E. Lee and Ray Gillen. I still find it quite not all there/unclear & bitter and difficult to accept that they had some heavy disagreement onlong the line: it happens in all the best of bands. I wish that they didn't have to face that troublesome time/which I feel at somepoint an outsider/or maybe someone close can course a band to have disbutes & breakup/splite. Anyway, I do believe that the troublesome situration was resolved before it got way out of hand even though still they/Badlands did some incrediable works outside of their band for instance Ray Gillen's SUN RED SUN music journey & Jake E. Lee's continuum in BADLANDS. They may have worked with some pretty amazing frontman & frontwoman but the bottom line was that Vocalist Ray Gillen made his Classic Signature stamp on Badlands sound and Rebel Guitarist Jake E. Lee in the end did not want to move on without Ray due to his strong presence in the band so JAKE after some time/working with other singers decided to respectfully lay his band to rest for he felt that that chapter was completed w/true grit & Heart and do some other music works singularly & also starting another band which was completely different from his Bayou/Rawhide Hard Rock Badlands/Ozzy roots and went a different extreme heavy groove way in the band called Wicked Alliance which he/Jake E. Lee & Beast legend Mandy Lion brought to existance w/full zest! And til this day his quite involved with other heafty cool music journey(s)...'which a couple of those music quests will be release this year 2008. Peace!

I don't know about that ...'I just have this feeling whatever it was was troublesome & serious and Ray, Jake, Greg, Jeff (and Eric) BADLANDS resolved the situration matter before it got out of hand. They are brothers musicians at Heart and they done a incrediable raw hide Heartfelt music quest in BADLANDS, much respects to the legendary members of this Bayou Hard Rock/Blues band. Peace!
Yeah, but on the flip side, I can understand Ray's frustration. He's wanting to put out the best the band can put out and got resistance. He's also a hard work kind of guy which Jake E. Lee doesn't sound like. Not a knock.. just a bad mix in styles. Once guy probably has a schedule and the other does not.
I thought both parties sounded childish in the interviews. But hey, this crap goes down in almost everyband from garage to grammy award winners.
