This has probably been answered but what giutar did jake use for the two ozzy albums? Thinking about buying a modern charvel so cal. Prices are around 900 bucks for a new one. Also, what strings did he prefer and the pickups?

I believe that JAKE early playing instruments in OZZY's Band was the Jackson Signature designs, then he changed it to the Charvel Signature designs. Then in BADLANDS Mr. Jake E. Lee started jamming on the ESP Signature guitars, which he says he favors most yet still he treasures the first lines he'd jammed/played on. All the Signature designed guitar lines are Classic and highly established.

Those so cals and san dimas are great bang for your buck really...although the one ply pickguard on the so cal looks awful and needs to be changed to 3 ply

I presume that you are talking about Mr 'Whitey'

It was a mid 70's Fender strat - hardtail, with a large headstock that was cut down to look like a small headstock and given a Charvel logo. It had a 3 point mount at the neck pocket with the fender micro tilt mechanism.
