Jake's Whitey Body Question

Post by moccos »

Does anyone know if Jake or who did the work on whitey guitar body to create where the slanted pickups are placed? I would assume it each spot would have to be chiseled/routed, including custom pick guard.

I have never heard anyone question this in the forum and thought I would ask you all.

All the best!

don't know who did it (I recall it has been said somewhere around here) but if jakes strat had swimming pool routing then the slanted ones would fit right in there with no further routing

Thanks for the reply. That totally makes sense with the "swimming pool" routing as a possibility. Only if we could take a peek ourselves:) Cheers!

I wonder how common swimingpool routes were back then.
It's possible they just wanted to remove as little wood as possible
and just cut it out using the pickguard as a blueprint? 8)
