straps and strap-locks

Post by hashima »

what kinda straps & strap locks did Jake use? In that booklet of "A Fine Pink Mist" he leans against a wall with his green ESP with its "huge" strap locks... you know which brand they are?

I've owned fancy straplocks like Schallers but usually resorted to bag clips, the kind that keep your Wonderbread fresh. Look in your pantry, you probably have a couple. They work great!

Yep, bread bag clips work great, although it's a good idea to keep a bunch of 'em in your case. They break pretty easily....so you gotta keep a bunch of fresh ones on hand. :)

I've always used the DiMarzio Quick-Loc straps. Other manufacturers also make knock-offs of this strap system. I haven't had a failure with the DiMarzios yet. The straps themselves are very soft and slick.

Just for the record...I'm a Seymour Duncan pick-up user but DiMarzio makes a great locking strap system.

I like the Schaller ones because they're solid and easy to use.

I "love" that picture of JAKE his basically dressed dark coloring/shades of green, brown & black with a Classic ESP alien green Guitar strapped to him with the most "serious" look on his handsome features. I also love the cover of this heavy Hard Rockin' space album/Cd recording: that "Fine Pink Mist" image is Jake E. Lee inner Soul. Very touching & seriously moving :!: Peace.
