GUITAR WARRIOR
Can any one confirm that Jake has a new CD just released titled : Guitar Warrior .. is this true ? please give all the Jake E Lee fans some info. on this !
Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
To my knowledge, Jake has not released a CD titled Guitar Warrior. His recent release was called Retraced.
Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
It's possible you're speaking of Jake Williams from the band '12 lb. Test' (?).
Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
Although that titled "Guitar Warrior" most certainly fits Rebel Guitarist Jake E. Lee...-I don't think he would name his next newest recording that. He proberly choose a earthy grounded name like "Gritty Gator" or something grinding & dusty raw.
Peace.

Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
I see this listed on iTunes where you can buy the whole "album" or just the songs. There's even an album cover.
The 10 songs listed are tribute songs from various albums and I can't recall if Jake played on all of them.
Running with the Devil with Stephen Pearcy
Seek & Destroy with Chuck Billy
Wango Tango
Just What the Doctor Ordered
Journey to the Center of the Mind
Get Down Make Love with Glenn Hughes
Wang, Dang Sweet Pootang
Free For All
Dog Eat Dog
It's a Long Way To The Top with Lemmy.
The listing in iTunes says this was released on Jan 1, 2007 by Deadline (Deadline Records I assume.)
And then I found this link:

So did Jake actually play on all these songs?

Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
Jake definitely played on Running With the Devil on VH tribute Little Guitars. Get Down Make Love with Glenn Hughes for sure. Journey to the Center of the Mind, Free for All, Wango Tango and Wang Dang etc was the Ted Nugent tribute cd obviously. Seek and Destroy was the Tribute to Metallica. I have all the afore-mentioned. As for the rest not sure. The one with Lemmy is an Ac/Dc song so look for the tribute to them.
Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
Didin't George Lynch do something similar on his own some time back...took all the songs he guested on and then packaged them in a CD?
It's a great idea since I'd really have no desire to buy the full albums just to get one or two songs that Jake plays on.

Re: GUITAR WARRIOR
Yep it's him on those songs...but it's the first I've heard of this CD. It looks like it's a compilation of his tribute work.

Yes he did actually. "Will Play For Food" has most of his tribute work and "The Lost George Lynch anthology" has a few more.
